Program Details
Please join us for a discussion on an Overview of the Drug Adverse Event Lifecycle. The presentation will cover the journey of the adverse event from first intake to the communication of risks, including the potential for drug recall. While on this journey, risk management and good pharmacovigilance practices will be shared along with some real-world examples.
Speaker Biographies:
Jacqueline Wright, BSc, RN, is pharmacovigilance leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in drug development. Her drug safety experience includes safety oversight of early IND assets, marketing applications and the maintenance of a positive benefit: risk profile in the postmarket setting. Previously held positions include Sr. Director of Pharmacovigilance at Turning Point Therapeutics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb), and Director of Patient Safety at Amgen Inc. Jackie graduated from the University of Guelph (Canada), College of Biological Sciences and Ryerson University (Nursing). Jackie is a non-practicing RN and a Legal Nurse Consultant in
Canada and the US. Jackie supports the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and anything connecting creatures, climate, and community.
