This is your opportunity to be mesmerized by Peggy Callahan, an anti-slavery activist, and filmmaker, as she shares her stories of fighting modern-day slavery and decades reporting and producing films on poverty, the foster care system, the death penalty, farm-workers,racism, homelessness, and slavery, to namejust a few. Peggy is a powerful, award-winning storyteller that has helped change laws and lives. She has worked on 5 continents and 15countries through two international anti-slavery organizations that she co-founded;Voices4Freedom and Free the Slaves. Her impact has been astonishing, including over15,000 people freed from slavery, 29 transitional schools in India that help entire villages free themselves from slavery, more than 200traffickers and slaveholders arrested, 256 million people reached to raise public awareness, andhas created the world's largest video library on modern-day slavery, shared it for free with theworld's best storytellers so they could tell the story of slavery. Aside from her ongoing anti-slavery work, Peggy is currently producing a film inspired by the international bestseller, The Book of Joy with Nobel Peace Prize winners,Archbishop Desmond Tutu and His Holiness the Dalai Lama and launching a podcast with The1440 Multiversity.
